Figure Eight Federal has integrated its Artemis data labeling platform with Microsoft Azure’s cloud-native platform-as-a-service offering to accelerate responsible artificial intelligence development for defense and intelligence applications.
Pairing Artemis with Microsoft’s PaaS services would address the lack of transparency and data governance challenges impeding AI innovation processes, including data labeling, model training and evaluation, F8F said Tuesday, highlighting the combined technology’s capability to enable rapid optimization of AI models and plug-and-play any third-party vendor into data environments while maintaining full data governance.
Generative AI for Defense Applications
According to Leigh Madden, vice president of national security at Microsoft, the integration demonstrates the capabilities to enhance data operations for expanding generative AI uses and driving greater efficiency and innovation across mission-critical data environments.
Mirroring Madden’s statement, Tim Klawa, head of product at F8F, said combining Artemis with Microsoft’s cloud-native capabilities for data management, machine learning operations and generative AI enables the delivery of a holistic, robust, and highly scalable solution to accelerate AI innovation for defense applications and ensures AI models are more transparent, trustworthy and secure against adversarial threats.
