The U.S. Navy has increased the capacity of the contracts for general building projects previously awarded to Whiting-Turner Contracting and nine other companies. Valued a combined maximum of $95 million, the contract modifications involve work at various U.S. locations, with completion expected by September 2026, the Department of Defense said Thursday. Work will be carried out in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

In September 2021, the Baltimore, Maryland-based Whiting-Turner secured a spot in a $900 million multi-award Navy contract for construction projects primarily within the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command’s southeast U.S. jurisdiction.
