Hitachi Vantara’s Hybrid Cloud System Passes Software Security Review - top government contractors - best government contracting event

A third-party assessment on the hybrid cloud infrastructure that Hitachi Vantara offers has validated its conformity to the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Secure Software Development Framework, or SSDF. In a company statement Tuesday, Mark Serway, Hitachi Vantara Federal’s CEO and a Wash100 awardee, stressed the urgency for federal agencies to accelerate their cybersecurity efforts, given the rising geopolitical and artificial intelligence-driven cyberthreats.

“Partnering with trusted experts who act in accordance with (SSDF) standards helps agencies stay ahead of emerging risks. Our government partners have shared that they value streamlined engagements with industry leaders who support them throughout their cyber resilience journey,” said the Hitachi Vantara Federal head.

CISA Confirms Cloud Infrastructure’s SSDF Alignment

Linford & Company, an assessment company with Federal Risk and Authorization Management certification, checked and attested Hitachi Vantara’s SSDF alignment, which the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency subsequently confirmed.

Octavian Tanase, Hitachi Vantara’s chief product officer, said the SSDF conformity validation highlights the company’s commitment as a signatory to the CISA Secure by Design guidance on technology offerings that meet strict cybersecurity standards.

“Our solutions provide federal agencies and contractors with the confidence that their mission-critical data infrastructure, whether on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments, meets the most rigorous cybersecurity procurement requirements,” Tanase noted.

Service Level Agreements Guarantee

According to Hitachi Vantara, its hybrid cloud portfolio helps secure critical data and systems from evolving security threats through robust software development protocols and supply chain controls. The company builds customer confidence on its product and service offerings through Service Level Agreements covering guarantees on uptime, response times and system recovery.

In April 2024, Hitachi Vantara Federal achieved awardable status under Department of Defense’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace for offerings that include data integration, business analytics and content intelligence, according to the website Intelligence Community News.
