Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson recently paid a visit to Serco Inc. to personally congratulate and hand Tom Watson, chief executive of the government technology provider, the 2025 Wash100 Award.
The Wash100 Award, founded by Garrettson in 2014, recognizes the most influential people in the government and government contracting industry. The coveted award celebrates the positive contributions over the past year and future achievements of executives, military and government leaders, and technology innovators revolutionizing the government contracting industry.
For his second consecutive win, Watson is being recognized for leading Serco to securing major contracts worth millions of dollars. Among Serco’s notable contract wins in 2024 is a deal potentially worth $247 million to support the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness System. Watson is also spearheading Serco’s acquisition of Northrop Grumman’s mission training and satellite ground network communications software business for $327 million.
“Under Tom’s leadership, Serco has locked in major Army contracts, expanded its customer support work with PBGC, and made a big move with the acquisition of Northrop Grumman’s MTS business,” commented Garretson. “Tom’s efforts have clarified Serco’s market position and through acquisition and integration increased the breadth of their market footprint. Huge congratulations to Tom—this recognition is again, well deserved!”
Executive Mosaic congratulates Tom Watson and the whole Serco team for winning the 2025 Wash100 Award.
