Candice Ling, senior vice president of federal at Microsoft, has accepted her 2025 Wash100 Award. The technology leader received her trophy for her second Wash100 win during Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson’s recent visit to the Microsoft office.
Commenting on Ling’s win, Garrettson, who founded the Wash100 Award, said, “Candice has secured her second consecutive Wash100 Award, and it’s an impressive testament to her leadership in steering Microsoft’s federal business at a time when cloud, AI, and cybersecurity are at the forefront of government priorities.”
“Whether it’s expanding AI capabilities in Azure Government, strengthening cybersecurity for federal agencies, or a vast array of other applications, Ling is ensuring Microsoft remains a cornerstone of U.S. government tech modernization,” he added.
A Leading Voice in GovTech
Ling has been with Microsoft for over six years. She was appointed to the SVP federal role in July 2023. She also served as chief operating officer for U.S. regulated industries and government industry leader at Microsoft.
Under her leadership, the company maintained its position as a leading partner of the U.S. government, especially in the areas of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence. By introducing AI to Azure Government, Microsoft empowers public sector organizations to harness the benefits of generative AI. The company is also partnering with OpenAI on Stargate, an AI supercomputer that would strengthen the national security of the United States and its allies.
Before Microsoft, Ling served as senior vice president and vice president of consulting at CGI.
Once again, Executive Mosaic congratulates Ling and the entire Microsoft team for winning the 2025 Wash100 Award.
