General Dynamics subsidiary NASSCO has secured a potential $66.5 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Navy to maintain, modernize and repair the USS Harpers Ferry.
Contract Award
The contract includes labor, supervision, equipment, production, testing, facilities and quality assurance for the landing ship dock to support the Chief of Naval Operations Availability program, the Department of Defense said Friday.
At the time of award, the Navy will initially obligate $60.1 million from its fiscal 2025 other procurement funds and $3.7 million from fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds.
Work will take place in San Diego, California, and is set to finish by October 2026.
The Navy awarded the contract through full and open competition, receiving two bids after posting the solicitation on SAM.gov in November 2024.
