Amentum and German company Rivada Space Networks are partnering to enhance U.S. government communications through Outernet, a highly secure low Earth orbit network.
Commenting on the partnership, Dave Marlowe, vice president of intelligence and cyber at Amentum, said in a statement Tuesday, “Rivada is building a uniquely capable LEO constellation focused on zero-trust networking. By establishing a highly secure global communications backbone in space, the Outernet not only strengthens digital infrastructure but also expands mission capabilities for our U.S. government customers.”
Outernet’s 600 satellites, linked by lasers and advanced processing, keep data in space from origin to destination, ensuring secure and reliable global transmission.
