Varada Consulting has appointed Ryan Bishop, former project manager and capture manager at Buchanan & Edwards, as director of operations to lead strategy, improve project delivery and boost efficiency in cloud automation, cybersecurity, DevSecOps and advanced analytics.
Bishop will also support the advancement of Varada’s proprietary technologies for secure edge computing, agile software development, artificial intelligence-driven data intelligence and automated project management, the Vienna, Virginia-based consulting firm said Tuesday.

Bishop’s Background
Bishop is a U.S. Air Force veteran with over 20 years of federal contracting experience.
During his stint at Buchanan & Edwards, he led IT programs, strategic communications and change management for various agencies including the U.S. Department of State, Government Accountability Office and the Library of Congress.
Before that, he served as a program manager at Valorous and provided consulting for CACI, Targeted Analytics Development Group, Xator and The Howroyd Group.
Earlier in his career, he was intelligence programs director at Veterans Enterprise Technology Solutions and a test engineer at SAIC.
