VMD Lands TSA Contract for Florida Airport Security Services - top government contractors - best government contracting event

VMD Corp, an Xcelerate Solutions company, has received a contract from the Transportation Security Administration for passenger and baggage screening support at Orlando Sanford International Airport in Florida.

Under the five-year agreement, awarded under the Department of Homeland Security’s TSA Screening Partnership Program, screening security services will be provided using advanced technology to address evolving threats, VMD said Wednesday. The company, which delivers critical infrastructure protection, will also secure designated areas and facilitate security training.

Ensuring Safe and Secure Air Travel

According to VMD President Vivek Malhotra, the company will apply its extensive aviation security expertise to ensure safe and secure travel at the Orlando Sanford International Airport. “Throughout the country, our teams have ensured the safety of millions of passengers departing from airports; we look forward to providing the same level of security excellence at Sanford,” he added.

VMD’s Ongoing Projects

VMD booked the new contract award after it launched a joint venture with The Chertoff Group and SureScan in December 2024 to offer remote screening technology to airports worldwide. The company also secured a DHS deal in August 2024 to conduct passenger and baggage screening services at the Kansas City International Airport in Missouri.
