Vishal Rao Appointed CEO of Trellix - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Vishal Rao has been selected as the next CEO of Trellix, a company specializing in artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity platforms.

The San Jose, California-based company said Wednesday Rao, who also serves as CEO of STG portfolio company Skyhigh Security, will spearhead the company’s global market share. The industry veteran will leverage his extensive leadership experience and deep understanding of cybersecurity and cloud computing.

Vishal Rao Career Overview

The Trellix executive currently serves on the board of directors of Anodot and WorkFusion. He previously worked at Snow Software, where he served as president, chief operating officer and CEO.

Rao was the senior vice president of field operations at Cloudera and VP for worldwide field sales at Splunk. The Trellix CEO also had stops at SnapLogic, BMC Software and IBM.

“Vishal has an outstanding track record of delivering results throughout his career,” said Marc Bala, managing director of STG. “His strong customer focus, global experience, and proven history of driving innovation uniquely qualifies him to lead Trellix into the future. We are looking forward to partnering with Vishal and the team to drive the company’s next phase of growth.”

Rao succeeds Bryan Palma, who will remain as an adviser at STG.
