Artificial intelligence applications provider Virtualitics has appointed Richard Timme, a retired U.S. Coast Guard rear admiral, to its advisory board.
The company announced Timme’s appointment in a LinkedIn post published Thursday.
According to Virtualitics, Timme brings to the company over 30 years of leadership experience in maritime safety, security and environmental stewardship, as well as a deep understanding of regulatory and policy challenges across government and industry.
Richard Timme’s Career Background
Timme’s career in the U.S. Coast Guard included time as commander of the Eight Coast Guard District, assistant commandant for prevention policy and budget director.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduate served as a Secretary of Defense Executive Fellow within McKinsey & Company’s public sector practice.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he currently serves as president of VXMarine, which serves the global maritime community through shipbuilding, systems engineering, port construction and security, IT and data analytics and training.
