Tricentis, a provider of test automation and management capabilities, recently announced having achieved what it described as record-breaking growth in its public sector business in 2024.
Demand for Automated Testing
The company on Tuesday attributed that growth to efforts by government agencies and education institutions to increase efficiency through modernization and the use of critical software like enterprise resource planning systems, whose reliability and compliance with regulations can be assessed through automated testing. Demand for such testing, particularly for Oracle, SAP and Salesforce software, was high during the past year.
Growth in Education & Federal Sales
To highlight its success in the public sector, Tricentis reported over 150 percent in federal sales growth through 2024, which was driven by the modernization initiatives of defense and civilian agencies. Business with education also saw a 300 percent year-over-year growth, which was driven by institutions working not only to streamline operations but also to enhance learning outcomes.
Test Automation Results in Time Savings
And at the state level, Tricentis reported having automated 3,000 software tests for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, an effort that reduced regression testing time by 30 percent. The company also helped a large state franchise tax board reduce testing time by 80 percent, an effort that saved 2,500 hours annually.
