Nauticus Robotics, a company that specializes in autonomous subsea robotics and software, has partnered with Leidos to accelerate subsea autonomy technology.
Nauticus said Thursday the collaboration will work together to develop the capabilities of future autonomous underwater vehicles, or AUVs.
Advancing Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
The two companies, whose previous collaboration was lauded by their customer, intend to utilize each other’s expertise once again to work on this new project of developing AUVs equipped to handle complex underwater missions.
Nauticus will leverage its deep experience in developing commercial unmanned underwater vehicles for the project. It will utilize its Aquanaut system, the company’s flagship subsea vehicle, and the ToolKITT software platform.
John Yamokoski, chief technology officer and vice president of defense at Nauticus Robotics, expressed excitement over the continued partnership with Leidos, saying, “We are thrilled to extend our relationship with Leidos through our targeted alliance. This alliance underscores our shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in subsea autonomy.”
