Henry Cyr announced on LinkedIn Monday his appointment as vice president of strategic command, control and communications systems at Northrop Grumman, transitioning from his role as director of multi-domain command and control capture programs.
In his new position, Cyr leads a critical initiative to develop survivable and secure communications platforms for national defense.
Cyr has been with Northrop for over nine years, previously serving as director of manned C2, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and lead of the integrated product team; director of the joint surveillance and target attack radar system program; and business development lead for manned C2-ISR programs.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Cyr served in the U.S. Air Force from 1997 to 2015. His military career included leadership roles such as chief of combat operations, commander of multiple squadrons, culminating with his tenure as commander of the 461st Air Control Wing.
