Brian Funk, a seasoned technology executive, has been appointed chief technology officer at MetaPhase Consulting, the company announced on LinkedIn Friday.
In his role as CTO, Funk will oversee product development, technology management, software development, cloud computing architecture, digital modernization and the strategic adoption of advanced technologies to its federal information technology offerings.
The new CTO brings 20 years of extensive technical expertise and experience providing innovative service across the federal sector. He possesses an in-depth grasp of software engineering, generative artificial intelligence, cloud architecture, Agile development, visual design, database administration, geospatial applications and DevSecOps.
Brian Funk’s Career
Funk was most recently a partner for hybrid cloud transformation at IBM, where he supervised its federal civilian portfolio. He also held the vice president roles for technology solutions and the national security and civilian business unit at Octo, an IBM company.
The executive previously served as senior director of national security and federal civilian programs at NCI Information Systems and operated his own private geospatial consulting company called GeoEagle. Prior to that, Funk was with TerraServer and LandNet.
