Paragon Names Julie Van Kleeck to Board of Directors - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Julie Van Kleeck, former vice president of Aerojet Rocketdyne’s space and launch propulsion business unit, has been appointed to the board of directors of Paragon Space Development. Van Kleeck, who retired from Aerojet Rocketdyne in 2019, brings to Paragon her 30 years of experience in the company, including market knowledge and issue understanding, Paragon said Monday.

Who is Julie Van Kleeck?

With degrees in aeronautical and mechanical engineering from the University of California, Van Kleeck has exercised leadership roles in several aerospace organizations, such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Coalition for Deep Space Exploration and Powerhouse Science Center.

Grant Anderson, Paragon president and CEO, called Van Kleeck a “perfect addition” to the company. “We will greatly appreciate her guidance on wide range of key issues and challenges moving ahead across our sea, air, land and space business,” he said.

The Tucson, Arizona-based company is among the 14 U.S. companies that NASA selected in September 2019 as its partners in the agency’s Moon to Mars exploration approach.
