LMI, a management consulting services provider, has booked a contract valued at $16.4 million to continue providing support services to the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training program to boost Civil-Military Programs, or CMP, initiatives.
The company said Thursday the contract covers support for training, operations, governance, financial management, asset management, strategic engagement, communications and digital services.
LMI’s Role in Enhancing Civil-Military Programs
The CMP initiative strengthens the relationship between the U.S. military and civilian sectors through training opportunities benefitting the communities. Through the program, military personnel are trained in operations and deployment readiness while civilians receive essential services.
As part of the agreement, LMI will develop and maintain the ServiceNow-based IRT Portal, a platform-as-a-service that helps manage civil-military partnerships by tracking budgetary funding requests and mission data.
LMI will aid in programmatic decision-making and audit preparedness by ensuring transparency and accuracy of all financial transactions. The company will also monitor and analyze financial activities, help coordinate efforts and provide advice detrimental to the program. Furthermore, LMI will create reports for programs like the DOD STARBASE and National Guard Youth Challenge Program.
“LMI’s expertise and digitally enabled capabilities supply DOD leadership with actionable insights to lead and make informed decisions for the CMP portfolio,” said Stu Jones, vice president of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and defense agencies submarket at LMI.
