Han Park, an industry veteran with over 20 years of systems, hardware and software experience, has been appointed vice president of artificial intelligence integration at Northrop Grumman, according to the executive’s LinkedIn post shared Friday.
Han Park’s Northrop Grumman Career
Park’s latest engagement with Northrop marks his second with the company. He was previously part of the Falls Church, Virginia-based aerospace and defense corporation from 2006 through 2015, first taking on the role of senior systems engineer and, later, senior program manager.
Han Park’s Other Career Achievements
Before being named Northrop AI integration VP, Park served as deputy chief technology officer and head of engineering at Supernal where he spearheaded the development of Urban Air Mobility aircraft systems, including all hardware and software components. He was also responsible for developing the aircraft’s health management and autonomous control systems while integrating AI and big data technologies.
The seasoned executive was also with Samsung Electronics for more than four years starting as the VP of technology in Seoul, Korea before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States to serve as VP of engineering. In his latter role, Park was responsible for developing software for autonomous driving, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and In-Vehicle Infotainment Systems.
He also worked as a senior research engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for more than six years.
