BAE Secures $85M Modification to Navy Contract for NTCDL Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting event

The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems’ information and electronic systems business an $84.9 million modification to a Network Tactical Common Data Link systems procurement contract, increasing the total value of the basic contract to $296.2 million.

The modification includes the manufacturing, testing and delivery of NTCDL systems, which will be installed on multiple platforms to transmit or receive intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data in support of tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination activities, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Work will be performed in Greenlawn, New York, with completion expected in September 2028.

BAE Systems began the NTCDL production in 2022 following a $42.6 million contract from the Navy for seven units of the system and installation on aircraft carriers and Constellation-class frigates to allow the transmission of voice, data, imagery and full-motion video from multiple military sources.

Alan Dewar, director of integrated communications solutions at BAE, previously said that the company’s NTCDL system provides multiple, simultaneous common data links that enable faster delivery of tactical communications and information to keep the Navy’s advantage in the maritime domain.
