Amentum has received a $279.8 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide aviation operations and maintenance support within the Air Force Central Command area of responsibility.
Amentum emerged as the contract winner following a competitive acquisition that attracted proposals from three other vendors, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Work performance under the agreement will primarily occur outside of the continental United States, specifically in military installations located in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
For the services required within the continental U.S., the places of performance will be at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia.
The specific work items involve airfield management, air traffic control and associated maintenance services.
The contract includes a one-year base period and six one-year option periods. If all options are exercised, work will be performed through Oct. 31, 2031.
The USAF’s fiscal 2025 operation and maintenance funds worth $163,857 were obligated at the time of the award.
The Air Combat Command’s Acquisition Management Integration Center in Hampton, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
