The Department of State is conducting market research to identify qualified small businesses that could provide IT professional services for the Bureau of Intelligence and Research’s Technology Innovation Office.
The requirement will be procured through a planned blanket purchase agreement, which has a one-year base period and nine option years, according to a request for information posted Friday on SAM.gov.
The anticipated work items include network services, data management, testing systems analysis, programming and implementation support, and database planning and design.
Specifically, the potential contractor will support the operation and maintenance of the Intelligence and Research Information Support System, which serves INR personnel and the intelligence community.
To ensure that INRISS runs as expected, the contractor should provide support related to help desk, user training, reports development and system enhancement services.
The selected vendor should also advance efforts by the department to develop and deploy the needed technology to improve INRISS’ output quality and modernize its processes.
The State Department will accept responses to its request for information until Sept. 23.
