Defense technology company Parry Labs has appointed Raanan Horowitz, former president and CEO of Elbit Systems of America, as a member of its board of directors.
The expertise that Horowitz is bringing in “will be invaluable” in the company’s continuing efforts to support national security, John Parkes, co-founder and CEO of Parry Labs, said in a company statement issued on Tuesday.
“His insights into global defense trends and technology integration will further solidify Parry Labs’ role as a leading innovator in the industry,” Parkes added.
Horowitz led Elbit Systems for more than 16 years and grew the company’s annual revenue to $1.5 billion. As the company’s head, he oversaw various operations, including the defense, commercial aviation and healthcare sectors.
Horowitz said his appointment to the Parry Labs board provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company’s leadership in digital transformation in defense. Other organizations wherein he has a board advisory role include the Institute for Defense Analysis, National Defense Industrial Association and Business Executives for National Security.
Horowitz has a Master of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University and a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tel Aviv University.
