Broadcom Receives Navy Contract to Provide VMware Software Access Through Carahsoft - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Broadcom has secured a new Department of the Navy enterprise software agreement blanket purchase agreement to make the VMware software portfolio readily accessible through Carahsoft Technology’s General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule contract.

Carahsoft said Thursday the new contract will streamline access to the VMware Cloud Foundation and other software offerings from VMware, which Broadcom recently acquired. The agreement includes a one-year base period and two optional one-year extensions.

The mandatory-use BPA allows the Navy to purchase VMware software without needing different sellers or contracts.

Will Jones, senior vice president at Carahsoft, highlighted the IT services provider’s enduring relationship with Broadcom, the Navy and their resellers, saying, “The contract will enable the Navy to more easily access VMware technology to enhance operational efficiency, supercharge workload performance and modernize cloud infrastructures.”
