Xage Security and Armis are offering a joint cybersecurity product for critical operational technology, industrial control system and cyber-physical system environments.
Called Armis Secure Remote Access, the new offering provides any organization with zero trust identity and access management, remote privileged access management, vendor access management and asset protection to secure their most vital and vulnerable network layers, Xage said Thursday.
Secure Remote Access, powered by Xage, is designed to meet the cybersecurity requirements under the Department of Defense’s Zero Trust Strategy.
It offers extended device visibility, zero trust protection, threat and vulnerability oversight and streamlined operational processes to help organizations improve asset management and policy implementation.
According to Xage, achieving zero trust compliance requires securing remote assets on naval ships or wind farms at sea, satellite networks and factory lines.
When accessing such assets, “a defense-in-depth approach, with compensating controls across the environment and down to individual devices, is best,” Xage said, noting that remote access to critical systems poses security risks.
The U.S. Space Force, Kinder Morgan and Petrobras are among the existing customers using Xage’s cybersecurity products to secure sensitive assets on the ground, at sea and in space.
