SailPoint Technologies has elevated Matt Mills to president and appointed Gary Nafus as the company’s first chief sales officer.
Both moves aim to broaden SailPoint’s executive team as the company continues to develop identity security systems for business entities worldwide, the software company announced Monday.
As Mills steps into the presidential role, CEO and founder of SailPoint, Mark McClain, said, “Matt has played a significant leadership role in SailPoint’s market strategy and operations, facilitating our ability to deliver on our vision.”
“As President, his broad impact will continue as he focuses on driving ongoing operational success for the Company,” McClain added.
Nafus joins SailPoint from Microsoft, where he served as vice president of U.S. manufacturing, spearheading a resilient market team that featured sales, consulting and customer satisfaction functions for one of the company’s worldwide business units. In his new role as chief sales officer, Nafus will oversee regional sales, digital sales and global partnership programs.
Mills and Nafus said they look forward to working together to implement SailPoint’s market strategy further.
“Gary brings extensive experience leading go-to-market strategy and execution for some of the world’s most respected enterprise brands,” Mills stated. “We have a significant opportunity in front of us, as CIOs and CISOs worldwide increasingly recognize how essential it is to build their enterprise security program from a foundation centered on identity first.”
“SailPoint is an incredible company that understands and is equipped to address the identity security challenges that many of the most complex and sophisticated enterprise brands face today,” said Nafus.
Nafus also served as the senior VP of Salesforce for two years.
