Ametek has promoted Rob Rideout Jr. to vice president of strategic procurement.
Rideout most recently served as the division vice president of operations and supply chain for aerospace and power, Ametek said Thursday.
According to David Zapico, Ametek’s chairman and CEO, Rideout’s leadership experience and expertise in supply chain management will help drive innovation and excellence in the company’s procurement strategic initiatives.
Rideout has held other leadership roles in Ametek, including director of strategic sourcing for power systems and instruments division and vice president of supply chain and continuous improvement for the aerospace and defense division.
He joined Ametek in 2007 after spending nearly two years as senior supply chain manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific and eight years as director of supply chain and machining operations at Danaher, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Ametek announced other executive appointments last week, naming John Henriques as vice president of corporate development and Vinatha Nathan as vice president and general manager of the measurement, communications and testing division.
Henriques was previously Ametek’s director of corporate development while Nathan served as senior vice president and general manager at Crane Payment Innovations.
