Hewlett Packard Enterprise has agreed to purchase Morpheus Data as part of efforts to deliver a comprehensive suite of capabilities and services across the hybrid cloud stack and expand its presence in the intelligent cloud operations market.
HPE said Thursday it expects the transaction to conclude in the fourth quarter of its 2024 fiscal year and help improve its HPE GreenLake cloud platform with the addition of multicloud application provisioning, automation, orchestration and financial operations capabilities.
“With the acquisition of Morpheus Data, we will take the next major leap to make HPE GreenLake cloud the de facto platform for innovating across hybrid IT,” said Fidelma Russo, executive vice president and general manager of hybrid cloud and chief technology officer at HPE.
Under the transaction, HPE will integrate Morpheus Data’s hybrid cloud management software technology with its portfolio of private cloud offerings and GreenLake cloud.
HPE noted that the proposed deal complements its purchase of OpsRamp, an information technology operations management company, in 2023.
