The U.S. Air Force has granted Bluescape’s software-as-a-service offering enterprise-wide authority to operate at Impact Level 4 for controlled unclassified information.
With the designation, USAF, its mission partners and Department of Defense organizations can access the BluescapeGov SaaS platform in a simplified manner to aggregate, fuse and share information and create a common operating picture, Bluescape said Tuesday.
BluescapeGov, designed to provide a virtual workspace with military-grade security, allows teams to monitor mission progress and obtain insight into the activities of each command.
The BluescapeGov ATO is available via the DOD Boundary Cloud Access Point for Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router access point and mission partner support through the internet access point.
“This ATO is one of the first to follow new guidance aimed at resolving risk management and cybersecurity reciprocity challenges,” said Norm Litterini, vice president of public sector channels and partners for Bluescape.
“Reciprocity enables DoD to reuse another internal or external organization’s assessments to share information, reducing the time and investments involved with approving IT systems to operate on information networks,” he added.
The SaaS platform is also authorized to operate at the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s moderate impact level.
