The Veterans’ Employment and Training Service of the Department of Labor has chosen SkillStorm to provide hiring and training services to help transitioning military service members and their spouses enter the civilian technology sector.
SkillStorm said Tuesday its selection marks its participation in the agency’s Transition Assistance Program Employment Navigator and Partnership Program.
Under the initiative, Employment Navigators at 37 U.S. and overseas military installations will refer service members in their last two years of service and their spouses to SkillStorm’s tech hiring and certification programs.
James Rodriguez, assistant secretary at DOL VETS, commented, “Transition can be challenging, and the support from SkillStorm for our transitioning service members, and their spouses, makes it easier for them to chart their new course.”
