Imtiaz Uddin has been promoted to chief executive officer from chief operating officer of ND Defense – formally Navistar Defense – succeeding Ted Wright, who served as CEO for five years.
In a statement Monday, Uddin said, “My commitment is to drive growth, build market share and expand into emerging markets by fostering innovation in product development and strengthening community engagement.”
Before joining ND Defense, Uddin was the vice president of operations and supply chain at BAE Systems, where he designed and implemented operational excellence systems.
He also held leadership roles in quality management at Spirit AeroSystems, EC Manufacturing and Honeywell’s aerospace business, as well as spent nearly a decade at General Motors as a product development leader.
