GitLab has launched a single-tenant software-as-a-service offering designed to support the government sector’s security and compliance requirements by enabling private networking, data residency and isolation capabilities.
GitLab Dedicated for Government is an enterprise DevSecOps platform that has been listed as a certified cloud-based tool in the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program marketplace, GitLab said Tuesday.
The FedRAMP-certified SaaS is managed and hosted by GitLab and is designed to help government agencies reduce toolchain complexities and vulnerabilities and support data residency and protection.
Key features also include advanced search, zero-downtime upgrades, secure networking, authentication and authorization, encryption, isolation, access controls and audit and observability.
The company also announced that it has achieved the In Process designation at the moderate impact level from FedRAMP, a key step toward receiving an authority to operate status.
