CGI Federal has been chosen to help the FBI modernize its IT system.

Under the second iteration of the FBI’s potential $8 billion Information Technology Supplies and Support Services blanket purchase agreement, CGI will bid on task orders provided by the agency, the Fairfax, Virginia-based company announced Thursday.

Clay Goldwein, CGI’s senior vice president of national security and justice, stated, “As a trusted partner to the FBI and Department of Justice, we help these organizations accelerate their digital transformations to deliver business and mission outcomes.”

Under the contract, with a ceiling of $8 billion over eight years, CGI will provide business consulting services, systems integration and managed IT capabilities that coincide with the Bureau’s present and future goals.

“This new agreement will allow CGI to build upon a decade of success working with the FBI, to bring the right talent, tools and emerging technologies that the Bureau needs to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving mission and technology landscape,” said Robert Moskowitz, CGI’s vice president of consulting services.

The BPA was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedule. CGI was originally selected amongst 31 large vendors that secured spots on the ITSSS-2 BPA.
