The U.S. Special Operations Command has awarded small woman owned business Mistral a sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the acquisition of Ground Organic Loitering Aerial Munition – Echelon II, or GOLAM II, munitions.
The contract, which has a maximum value of $73.6 million, also covers spares and a variety of support services, including new equipment training, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The GOLAM II system comprises single or multi-shot all up rounds, a launch system and a ground datalink with controls, according to a sources sought notice posted in 2023 on SAM.gov. The system provides USSOCOM a precision strike capability that can be used against various targets in all environments.
Work under the contract with Mistral will be carried out in Bethesda, Maryland. The expected completion date is May 16, 2029.
