The Space Development Agency has released a request for proposals for the procurement of 20 Gamma variant satellites for the second tranche of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture’s transport layer.
The Tranche 2 Transport Layer Gamma constellation will include a warlock mission payload, a unique capability designed to close future kill chains through the PWSA, according to a notice posted on SAM.gov Tuesday.
T2TL Gamma satellites will also include baseline mission payloads and subsystems including three optical communication terminals; a Ka-band mission payload; a networking and data routing subsystem; a navigation subsystem; and an S-band backup telemetry, tracking, and control subsystem.
SDA expects to reach initial launch capability for the T2TL-Gamma variant satellites by September 2026.
The T2TL-Gamma constellation is scheduled for launch on July 1, 2027.
Interested parties have until April 30 to respond to the solicitation.
