Peraton Receives Large Business of the Year Award From Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Industry recognition

Peraton has received the large business of the year award from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which acknowledges the company’s dedication to supporting small businesses affiliated with JPL.

The award is designated for a large business that actively supports JPL small business programs, exceptionally meets contractual obligations and engages in outreach events to promote small businesses aligned with NASA’s missions, Peraton said Friday.

Bill Mertz, the company’s chief procurement officer, said that he, his organization and their small business partners were honored to have been recognized for their work in supporting civil and national security space.

In August 2023, Peraton secured a $513.5 million subcontract from JPL to maintain and operate communications systems for NASA’s Deep Space Network.
