Michael Adams, associate vice president for the federal civilian business at Verizon, said the telecommunications services provider remains a “preeminent partner” to the public sector, building on its decades-long partnerships with federal departments and agencies.
“Some of our relationships in the public sector span decades, which speaks to our reliability and trustworthiness in a sector that prioritizes security and discretion,” Adams said at the annual EDGE24@CES government technology forum.
According to Adams, Verizon has secured government contracts worth more than $1 billion combined in the last two years, highlighting the public sector’s “enduring belief in our solutions and our counsel.”
“Verizon combines a proven track record and deep domain knowledge with an inspiring vision of the future,” Adams said.
Among Verizon’s most recent government contract awards is a $15 million Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions task order to provide voice and data services in support of the U.S. Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation program.
The company also provides broadband internet and telehealth services to veterans in rural and remote locations under a partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
In December 2023, Verizon collaborated with Lockheed Martin‘s Skunk Works subsidiary to demonstrate 5G-enabled visualization content streaming on edge computing devices for military sustainment missions.
