NASA plans to award Jacobs a six-month contract extension to continue providing maintenance, operations and engineering support services at Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.
The Center Maintenance, Operations and Engineering contract extension will support research facilities operations for wind tunnels, laboratories and test stands; central utilities operations; technology development and administration; facility engineering; and research and institutional facility maintenance, according to a notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
Work under the CMOE contract will extend from Feb. 1 through July 31, 2024.
Jacobs offers research operations support services at the center under a 10-year, $742 million contract awarded in September 2013.
The contract comes as NASA conducts a full-and-open competition for the follow-on CMOE II contract that will run for another 10 years.
