BAE Systems has secured a six-year, $48.8 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to enhance a company-built system used to support real-world operations via analytics, open systems frameworks and enhanced capabilities.
The research and development effort for the BAE Systems Insight System aligns with the Insight Integration initiative, the Department of Defense said Monday.
DOD noted that contract work is slated to take place in San Diego, California through April 9, 2029.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee award involves an initial obligation of $892,907 from fiscal year 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
