BlueHalo has unveiled its Next Generation Missile to provide the military with layered counter-unmanned aerial system and air defense capabilities.
The company said Tuesday the missile was developed to integrate with current military infrastructure and command and control platforms and defeat Group 3 UAS and other larger air targets as well as short-range air defense threats.
NGM also has modular architecture, radar agnostic feature and reduced size, weight and power attributes. Its software-defined front end enables other rocket motors to be equipped with the missile to address sub-sonic and supersonic threats.
“BlueHalo’s NGM has the technically superior capabilities to deliver unmatched protection to our warfighters and ease of integration to truly transform our nation’s air defense systems against the ever-evolving peer threat,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, CEO of BlueHalo.
“Equally important, it demonstrates our company’s commitment to the [Department of Defense’s] priorities as outlined by Deputy Secretary [Kathleen] Hicks,” the previous Wash100 awardee added.
