Sierra Nevada Books $134M USSOCOM Contract to Provide Tactical Radio Software, Support Services

Sierra Nevada Corp. has secured a potential $134 million contract with a $1.2 million minimum guarantee from the U.S. Special Operations Command to supply and maintain Tactical Radio Application eXtension software in support of the Program Executive Office for Tactical Information Systems Tactical Communications Systems.

SNC will perform maintenance, integration, training, aircraft demonstrations and support of fielded TRAX systems under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Work will be performed at the company’s facility in Sparks, Nevada, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 22, 2028.

USSOCOM awarded the contract on a sole-source basis and is obligating $5.2 million in its fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance funds for the effort.

The SNC-developed TRAX software is designed to ensure radio communications interoperability in support of multidomain operations.
