Riverside Research Among Northern VA Chamber’s Service Award Finalists; Steven Omick Quoted

The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce has selected Riverside Research as one of the five finalists for the Distinguished Service Award in the Veteran Service Organization of the Year under $1 million annual budget category.

“Riverside Research is proud to be recognized by [NOVA Chamber]. Together, these honors reflect not only our commitment to growing our diversity initiatives, but also our deep-seated commitment to serving the veteran community,” Steven Omick, president and CEO of the nonprofit, said in a statement published Friday.

Previously, employees of the research institution established their diversity, equity and inclusion council as well as employee resource groups for women and veterans in an effort to address the needs of the historically marginalized sector.

The 2023 Distinguished Service Awards is during a ceremony at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia.
