Cognosante, Consensus Launch Government Cloud Digital Faxing Tech at VA Facilities; Erick Peters Quoted

Cognosante and Consensus Cloud Solutions have implemented a government enterprise cloud fax platform across five initial operating capability sites across the U.S. in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

ECFax is a cloud-based digital faxing platform hosted on Amazon Web Services GovCloud and is designed to facilitate the secure exchange of digital data while streamlining workflow processes and providing transparency and visibility into usage and system status, the companies said in a joint release published Thursday.

The platform is currently in process at High-Impact level under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and will be launched in over 2,000 VA facilities across the country.

Working with Consensus on the ECFax program is a natural extension of our promise to VA to help improve Veteran care by streamlining administrative processes,” said Erick Peters, chief technology officer of Cognosante.

The five IOC sites were activated over a period of three months and include more than 40 facilities while representing five examples of VA workplaces, including pharmacies and outpatient care.

In March 2022, Cognosante selected Consensus as a subcontractor to deliver the ECFax service to VA in support of the department’s digital communications program.
