The U.S. Army awarded Parry Labs two task orders to help implement a modular open systems approach to the service branch’s aviation hardware and software operating environments.
The contracts are part of the Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium MOSA agreement, the company said Thursday.
The project involves deploying an Aviation Mission Computing Environment for future long range assault and attack reconnaissance aircraft. It will also be installed on the AH-64 Apache, UH-60 Black Hawk, CH-47 Chinook, MQ-1C Gray Eagle and fixed wing planes.
AMCE is a requirement for modular based systems engineering in Army aviation platforms. The requirements were established to facilitate modernization of weapons and technology across the branch.
