Northrop Grumman’s deep-sensing and targeting technology installed on a Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft was able to collate multidomain data and analyze information from commercial satellites.

The findings during a test flight were part of a demonstration featured at the U.S. Army’s Experimental Demonstration Gateway Event in Yuma, Arizona, the company announced Monday.

The DSaT platform was integrated into the CRJ-700 jet to gather intelligence that cannot be picked up by local sensors. DSaT combines geospatial intelligence images with aerial and terrestrial military and commercial data, all of which are transmitted from space.

The Phase 1 demonstration, which simulated a real-world tactical scenario, showed that the platform was able to send multidomain data to the Tactical Operations Center, while analyzing aircraft satellite information.
