Carahsoft Technology has agreed to offer Trusona’s cloud-based multi-factor authentication tool to public sector customers through its reseller network and government procurement vehicles.
Under the partnership, Carahsoft will serve as the master government aggregator for Trusona Authentication Cloud, a passkey-as-a-service platform that allows government agencies to enable phishing-resistant authentication for their websites, the companies said in a joint statement published Wednesday.
Trusona offers passkeys that eliminate the need for legacy two-factor authentication methods such as SMS one-time passwords, resulting in up to a 50 percent reduction in SMS OTP costs.
“By adding Trusona’s offerings to our portfolio, we are now able to provide our Public Sector customers access to next-generation multi-factor authentication and phishing resistant capabilities,” said Steve Jacyna, director of emerging cyber at Carahsoft.
Trusona is available to U.S. government customers through Carahsoft’s Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2, National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners and NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contracts.
