Octo-Metric5 JV Wins CMS IT Transformation Support Contract

A joint venture between Octo and small business Metric5 has secured a five-year, $29 million contract to help transform information technology operations at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Octo Metric will provide training and hands-on coaching to ensure continuous learning and transformation across the agency and advance transparency, communication and collaboration among CMS personnel, Octo said Tuesday.

“Our established relationship with CMS has helped us break down barriers alongside OIT. We’re pleased to be able to continue this trend with our long-time partners at Metric5 and build upon OIT’s work of creating better business outcomes,” commented Octo CEO Mehul Sanghani.

Charlie McQuillan, general manager for federal health at Octo, said the company has seven years of experience providing training to over 3,000 CMS participants in areas such as agile transformation, product management, human-centered design, data science and leadership.

Octo Metric was established as part of the Small Business Administration’s Mentor-Protege Program to offer a full range of IT services to the U.S. government.
