Ross Niebergall, a technology industry executive, has been appointed president of the Aerojet Rocketdyne segment following the acquisition of the propulsion systems maker by L3Harris Technologies.
He most recently served as vice president and chief technology officer at L3Harris, where he oversaw the technology and engineering organization and aligned research and development investments with growth objectives.
Niebergall said in a statement published Friday that customers call for a competitive environment that makes innovative, agile platforms.
“We will expand on the strong Aerojet Rocketdyne heritage to enhance production and deliver on those expectations,” he added.
Niebergall’s industry career included leadership positions at Harris and Raytheon, which now operates as RTX.
