A Chenega Corp. subsidiary has won a $61 million contract to provide fire protection, emergency management and emergency medical services at a U.S. Space Force installation in Florida.

Chenega Security California will work at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station under the firm-fixed-price FEMS IV contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

A total of five offerors competed for the program and DOD expects the services to conclude by Sept. 30, 2029.

The Space Force is obligating $516,050 on the award using operations and maintenance funds for fiscal 2023.

FEMS IV is a follow-on to the contract held by Centerra, a Constellis company.
