An Air Force Research Laboratory accelerator program has chosen six companies to participate in its twelfth program, which will focus on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in space and maritime applications.
Catalyst Accelerator‘s AML cohort, which will take effect from Aug. 22 to Nov. 17, marks the first such cohort betweeen the U.S. Space Force and Navy, the organization said Thursday.
AFRL’s Space Vehicles Directorate sought tech startups to learn the Space Force and Naval ecosystems and develop customized AI/ML software for the service branches.
The chosen teams specialize in areas such as machine learning operations, AI-based data science, robotics, and weather nowcasting and forecasting.
The participating companies are:
- Data Squared USA
- Duality Systems
- Exosite
- Precursor SPC
- R-DEX Systems
- RS21
They are scheduled to demonstrate their experimental technologies on Nov. 9 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Nov. 16 in College Park, Maryland.
