Carahsoft Technology has added a portfolio of VMware cloud services to the former’s Distributor Seller of Record program, which makes public sector software products available in an Amazon Web Services digital catalog and various government contract vehicles.
Carahsoft said Wednesday its Distributor Seller of Record program now includes the VMware Cross-Cloud Services suite designed to help agencies create, operate, access and protect applications.
The DSOR program offers a procurement workflow for government customers looking for software and other platforms on AWS Marketplace. Independent software vendors authorize Carahsoft to be the seller of record, and in turn, they become part of the Consulting Partner Private Offer in their respective programs on AWS Marketplace.
Through the partnership, the DSOR Private Offers feature will include VMware’s joint managed cloud offering with AWS, Cloud Disaster Recovery/Ransomware Recovery, software-defined wide area network, and the NSX Advanced Load Balancer for networking and security virtualization.
VMware’s Tanzu app development tool, Aria Universal Suite for cloud automation and visibility and Carbon Black for cybersecurity are covered by the program as well.
“Carahsoft and our reseller partners are committed to providing our customers with the flexibility and scalability needed to accelerate their digital transformation journey,” said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft and a 2023 Wash100 Award winner.
Jennifer Chronis, vice president of VMware’s public sector business and a previous Wash100 honoree, noted the partnership seeks to make it easier for mutual customers to buy and implement cloud services.
